Fusion Global’s mission is to unite Jews and gentiles in Messiah to ignite cultural transformation by joining media, marketplace and ministry. Fusion Global helps them understand and participate in Jewish holidays, fostering a deeper appreciation of Yeshua (Jesus) and His teachings.

Found in the book of Esther, the biblical story of Purim inspired the Jewish holiday, which celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman, a wicked vizier who plotted to annihilate the Jews. Esther’s uncle, Mordechai, took courageous action to save the Jewish people and encourage his niece to finding her destiny.

In presenting the award to Baehr, Rabbi Jason Sobel, director of Fusion Global, said:

“Just as we commemorate Mordechai’s ability to impact cultural transformation in his day, this year we would like to take this opportunity to honor you as a modern day Mordechai for your significant impact on Hollywood and the Jewish Community over the last 30 years. Your work in the film industry instilling faith and values in media, transforming current culture from the inside out makes you a perfect recipient of Fusion Global’s Mordechai in Media Award.”
