ANNUAL WINTER AWARD GALA, HALL OF THE AMERICAS, OAS, WASHINGTON
The Council is sponsoring our first annual Winter Award Gala, to raise funds for the on-going educational programs over the next year. The Gala will be creative black-tie and held at the majestic Hall of the Americas, Organization of American States. To date, the underwriters and sponsors range from Stanford Financial to Phillip Screw Company. The Honorary Host Committee Chairwoman is Ambassador Ivonne A-Baki, Ecuador. The Council has selected Ambassador Peter Romero as the first recipient of its "Excellence in Leadership" Award. The silent auction will be showcasing and promoting the tourism industry of the Caribbean hard hit by the events of September 11th.
