The Inter-American Economic Council ["Council"] honored Fadi Nahas, Honorary Consul General of Ecuador in Turkey and CEO of NA Plus, with the Council's 2005 Excellence in Leadership Award on February 3, 2005 at a black-tie affair held at the Hall of the Americas of the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C. Joined by his wife, Mrs. Rita Nahas, close friends and associates, Mr. Fadi Nahas humbly accepted the award presented by Her Excellency Ivonne Baki, Minister of Commerce of Ecuador, and Ambassador Peter Romeo, Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere.

Amongst those joining the Council to honor Mr. Nahas were Mr. Dennis Flannery, Executive Vice President of the Inter-American Development Bank and his wife, Cynthia Flannery, H.E. Farid Abboud, Ambassador of Lebanon to the U.S., and H.E. Imad Moustapha, Ambassador of Syria to the U.S. Host Committee Co-Chairs were Mrs. Monica Heftler and Mrs. Lucila Schmitz.
