This Year's Benefit Gala will recognize [honor] a public servant who has done the most to promote public/private sectors cooperation for economic growth and development in the countries of the Western Hemisphere. The IAEC has selected as the first recipient of its award,
Ambassador Peter Romero, former Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere Affairs during the Clinton Administration and the initial five (5) months of the George W. Bush Administration.
There will also be a Silent Auction held promoting the recovery efforts for the Caribbean tourism industry. This will be conducted under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Aruba, Nelson Oduber. The auction will have exciting opportunities to experience the best of the Caribbean-its beaches, its cuisine, its hotel resorts and its people.
