Carlos Mattos is founder and president of Hyundai Colombia Automotriz S.A (HCA), the exclusive distributor and importer of Hyundai Motor Company, Korea. HCA ranks third on the local market in terms of sales behind the Colombian unit of General Motors and the Colombian automobile group, Sociedad de Fabricacion de Automotores. In 2006, Mattos received the award as the best Hyundai distributor in Latin America. In 2005, he founded Cinascar de Colombia and Cinascar de Ecuador to import and distribute four brands of vehicles coming from China. Mattos also has served in the Colombian senate. Additionally, he has been involved in real estate development in South Florida and Colombia. Mattos earned his MBA from Babson College, and his masters degree in ownership president management in 1990 from Harvard University. He has received Babson College's Global Entrepreneur Award; and is a member of the Babson Board of Overseers. He serves as the Honorary Consul General of San Marino and is active in numerous Civic, Political and Charitable Organizations.
